Forensic Science


The Forensic Science Section at the Department of Anthropology provides a platform in the field of forensic science to apply scientific principles for the criminal investigative procedures. The major segments covered in this section include Questioned Document analysis, Fingerprinting Analysis, Crime Scene Management, Forensic Serology, Forensic Chemistry, Forensic Toxicology, Forensic Psychology and Forensic Biology. The section is devoted to help students develop the skills and knowledge required by forensic scientists to work in laboratories, at crime scenes and in courtrooms, in order to apply scientific expertise in criminal investigations. The Forensic Science section also provides opportunities to the students and researchers to complete their projects under the guidance of concerned forensic scientists in Central Forensic Science Laboratory.
